Later was written for Larry Marotta's unique guitar playing. A conceptual electronic piece that also uses improvisation with the notes as written, it is overlaid with different types of electronic sound. On the left of the score are obituaries with the musical monograms of the dead. My musical works from Homeless Percussionist, to Prison Life Stories to Lost Children led me to the ultimate missing persons,the dead.On the right of the score each obituary translates into the joy hindu ragas. David Reed is performing on
the sampler with the voice of Maria Chalkias, a student of mine speaking in Greek ,on the nature of Baudrillards concept of 'simulation' and hyperreality. The performers are Larry Marotta -guitar, David Reed -sampler, and Rocco Di Pietro -virtual synthesizers.
